In 2007 when we first developed our Xtrema cookware, we searched extensively for a United States manufacturer. Unfortunately, no factory was found that wanted to and was capable of making our Xtrema cookware, so we traveled to Chaozhou, China which is the ceramics capital of the world. It was here that we found a factory that had technology and seasoned artisans who were willing and able to make our ceramic cookware.

Making our Xtrema cookware is not simple manufacturing; it is an art form that has been passed down through generations dating back as far as 10,000 years. We have never compromised on where or how our products were made. These past 18 years, we traveled to China, walking the factory floors, refining our designs, working side by side with our partners and building the kind of trust that only comes with time invested. These are not just business relationships; these are bonds built on a shared commitment to making the finest pure ceramic cookware in the world.

 As of this month, new U. S. tariffs of 145% have gone into effect on every product imported from China, including our Xtrema ceramic cookware. This is a major shift for us, but we want you to know that: we have not raised our prices and that we are doing everything within our means to maintain our current level of pricing. We are closely watching the negotiations between the U.S. and China, and we’re optimistic that both sides will find common ground. In order to remain competitive and deliver on our commitments to you, we are conducting a full audit of all aspects of our operations to find ways to ease the impact of these tariffs.

We are doing everything we can to avoid raising prices, but if this tariff situation remains unchanged, a price increase will go into effect on June 1st. We want to give you time to plan and make informed decisions. While this isn’t the path we hoped for, we believe in keeping our community informed every step of the way — with clarity, integrity, and care.
