  • Stuffed Baked Potato: You will need 1 potato, 1 tablespoon of oil, 2 slices of bacon, and ¼ cup shredded cheese. Was and scrub the potato, poke holes, and rub with a bit of oil. Place bacon next to the potato on a ceramic plate or in a ceramic bowl and microwave for 7 – 9 minutes. Slice the potato in half, fluff the inside, sprinkle cheese on top, and then microwave for another 30 seconds. Top with crumbled bacon and enjoy!
  • Scrambled Eggs: Make a protein-packed breakfast in a matter of minutes. Crack 1 or 2 eggs into a bowl, whisk them together, add your favorite seasonings, and microwave on high for 30-second intervals, stirring occasionally until ready.
  • Microwave Meatloaf: You will need 1 egg (beaten), 5 tablespoons ketchup (divided into separate tablespoons), 2 tablespoons mustard, ½ cup bread crumbs, 2 tablespoons onion soup mix, ¼ teaspoon pepper, 1 pound ground beef, 1/3 cup sugar, 2 tablespoons brown sugar, and 2 tablespoons cider vinegar. Combine the egg, 2 tablespoons ketchup, mustard, bread crumbs, soup mix, and pepper in a bowl. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Put into a microwave-safe dish, cover, and microwave on high for 10 – 12 minutes or until there is no pink. In a small bowl, combine sugars, vinegar, and 3 tablespoons ketchup. Drizzle mixture over the meatloaf. Cover and microwave for another 2 – 3 minutes.

Microwave Mug Desserts

Sometimes you want something sweet, but the last thing you want is to have to throw it away in a couple of days because you can’t eat it all at once. Luckily, using Xtrema Pure Ceramic Cookware's ceramic coffee or tea mugs, you can easily make a delicious sweet treat in the microwave, just for one. We’ve compiled some of the best one-cup dessert recipes for you to try when your sweet tooth kicks in.

Chocolate mug cake. Simple and sweet, you’ll need:

  • ¼ cup flour
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Mix dry ingredients together, then stir in the wet ingredients. Once mixed, microwave for about 2 minutes, using a toothpick to test the center.

Chocolate chip cookie.

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • ¼ tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate chips
  • Melt the butter, add sugars and stir. Add egg and vanilla, whisk. Add the flour and baking powder, and stir. Add chocolate chips, then microwave for 1-2 minutes until the toothpick comes out clean.

Apple crisp for one.

  • 1 small apple, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ cup oats
  • 2 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoon flour
  • 2 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • Combine apples, sugar, and ½ teaspoon cinnamon. Add oats, flour, brown sugar, and rest of the cinnamon in a separate bowl. Add melted butter and stir to combine everything. Add oat mixture to the top of apples. Microwave 1-2 minutes.

These one-cup dessert recipes are delicious, and simple, making them perfect for a night when you want something sweet, but don’t feel like taking an hour to prepare a full-size dessert.
